Liberian National Police
The Liberia National Police was founded in according to the section 180 of chapter 13 under
sub chapter “A” of the policymaking Law in the Liberian code of law volume 11 of 1955
within the department of Justice and reversed under section 22.70 of the same executive law
of June 12
th
1955. According to that there will be Ministry of Justice a National Police Force
established that will be governed by the Director who will be selected by the president with
the guidance and consensus of the Council. The Director will report to the Minister of Justice
directly with respect to his control and direction. The leader, with the information and
agreement of the Senate, will be responsible for appointing Deputy Directors along with
Assistant Directors and other lower cadre officers as and when required for the efficient
operation of the Liberia National Police.
Structure of the Liberia National Police
The Liberia National Police has following official positions which are there for the smooth
functioning of the organisation: Director, Deputy Directors, Senior Inspector, A Senior
Inspector, Deputy, Sectional Heads and Assistant Directors
The LNP comprises of the 3 components: Operations, Administration, and Training.
Part of the Procedures segment of the Liberian National Police, INTERPOL Monrovia is
located at the Police Headquarters and is the exclusive Liberian opinion of interaction for all
police inquiries with a world-wide association. It is the single nominated point of interaction
for all collaboration with INTERPOL’s General Secretariat, its local workplaces and
associate republics. INTERPOL Monrovia’s part is to cooperate, collaborate and enable
