As we discussed, the aviation industry is unique, and therefore an aviation resume will be different than almost, if not all, other industries. Recognizing your transferable skills will help you build a more marketable resume. When employers are looking at resumes they are looking at your past skills to ‘predict’ your chance of success in the role you are applying for.

For this assignment, we are going to look at three things.

Skills that will be necessary for your chosen profession.

Transferable skills based on previous/current jobs, class projects, extra circular activities, or personal experiences.

Collaborate to build ‘aviation specific’ skills (i.e. proficient in G1000, familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations).
