In this final assignment before your exam, you will be assessed on your listening skills. This will involve listening to a lecture, taking notes as evidence of engaging with the speaker, and writing a short summary to demonstrate comprehension of the material that you have listened to.
1. Watch this this video link as a refresher of how to take good notes.
2. Make a copy of the note taking guide provided below (put it in the shared folder).
3. Watch this Ted Talk about the “secret to great public speaking.”
TASK: As you listen, take detailed notes using the provided note taking guide. When you are finished listening, review your notes and then write a short summary of the main ideas communicated in the talk. Your summary should be less than 300 words.
