a) There are a host of characteristics that are desirable in a good expert witness. One of
these is the education level which must be sufficient so as to deem the given witness fit for
giving testimony in the given expertise. Also, sufficient experience must be possessed in the
area of testimony. The underlying personality of the witness is also critical as it is expected
that the concerned individual would not be bias and co
ectly state the facts.
Credibility is a key factor which may become an issue in case of any litigation or offense
against the concerned individual. Also, the expert witness must have good communication
skills which would allow the communication to be understood by the audience and jury.
Lastly, the expert witness should be aware of the case facts and be adequately prepared to
testify.

helps in the witness understand the various facets of the case along with enhancing the
