The storyteller Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie reflects the aspect of how a story can affect the world. In the presentation she deliberately attempts to uphold that a single story can create perception that that are dominated by stereotypes. As an early reader, Adichie reflected British and American context in her writings too. She was not accustomed to African literature which was very prominent from the issue that her writings were not connected with the geographical and social aspects of Africa in spite of the fact that she lived in Nigeria. This addresses how western literature affected her mindset and sti
ed her imagination. She could not reflect the African aspects in her literary works as her literary foundations concentrated only on western literature that she studied while she grew up.
