The ACa seeks to increase the quantity of healthcare consumed with the idea of shared responsibility. It  implies that the responsibility of health is shared between the insurers and the insured. As more people are insured, the demand for healthcare rises. So the main focus is to encourage health insurance.
three main focal points to encourage health insurance are:
· Systemic insurance market reform aims to eliminate discriminatory practices (like pre-existing condition exclusions) which are bound to bring in more patients under insurance umbrella. Until now, they were refused insurance.
· No rise in premiums is allowed, so that the insurers have their earnings in terms of premiums capped. The only way to stay profitable is to gather more revenues by increasing the no of insured/ reduce costs. Both ways society is benefitted.
· Tax credits will be given to individuals and families with health insurance.
