This week’s lecture opened my eyes towards a bitter truth of the Aboriginal community of Australia that the Aboriginal people are quite ignorant of the concept and significance of decision-making as well as planning. This is majorly because they have been governed by the government for a prolonged period of time, which has dominated their decision-making capabilities to a great extent. As supported by Sherwood (1999), they also themselves do not value their decision-making and undermine their self-determination. This marginalise them largely, thus, making the government not consider their opinions in many contexts.
