As a mental health nurse, I once took care of a man. The man was very well mannered, calm, well educated. He had completed master’s degree in Film Studies. He hailed from a big city. Furthermore, both parents of the patient were alive and together when I took care of him. So now, let us come to the issue of the patient. The primary issue with the patient was he was deep in depression and was having suicidal thoughts. Furthermore, with these he had mild anxieties that comes with the depression. This is quite natural in patients of depression; they usually have different kind of anxieties that affects with acute depression. Furthermore, they even have suicidal thoughts. That depends mainly on the amount of depression the patient is affected by. Our patient had frequent suicidal thoughts as he had very acute depression.
Although we can primarily see that, the person had less social issues than many other persons but the main reason for the depression of the man was due to unemployment (Newbigging & Ridley, 2018). As the man was already in his 30s and still he was without any kind of work. However, the mental illness does not occur immediate after a man take note of his unemployment. From the regular habit of not working made changes to the life style of the man I was taking care of. Primarily he took a full time job but had some issues and left it.
