Introduction
    Shaun Cross is a 15-year-old patient, who has been suffering from type-1 diabetes. The patient has no major problem related to diabetes but he has been admitted to the hospital for an exploratory arthroscopy. He has injured himself while playing soccer and now he is required to be operated on his right knee. According to the procedures of the operation, the patient needs to have fasted around 1000 hours. It is a mandatory factor for the patient to fast for 1000 hours. As the patient has diabetes, he has taken the insulin 2000 hours before. The pre-operative assessment of the regular check-up of the patient has shown some positive results. It shows that the patient is ready to be operated on within the allocated time. The blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory functions are running well as per the requirement of the operation. Therefore, the patient is prepared to be operated on for his exploratory arthroscope.
Pre-Operative Care
