Overview and analysis
Health Care is the improvement and maintenance of the health of a person using various techniques. The technique includes prevention, treatment, diagnosis, recovery and other mental and physical impairment. Health professional delivers health care services. Various strategies to provide education and to promote health care among and around person with disability is also discussed. Disability requires proper medical facilities and assistance to be given to the disabled person so that the person can accept and understand about their own condition.
For the following report, the population group “Disability” is chose. A disable person suffers from mind and body impairment. There condition makes it difficult for them to do certain activities like interacting with the world around them. It is estimated that over one billion people suffers from some kind of disability (Khan et al., 2018). About 15% of the total world population are disabled with approximately with 190 million people in the age group of fifteen years. The disabled people suffer from issues like physical issues, cognitive issues, physiological issues which may be caused due to an accident or it may be genetically inherited.
A case study on the disability group of population is used to analyse the social aspect of health issues, identification of global, national and local health care priorities, evaluation of the role of the nurse in health care and the promotion of health and education strategies.
