Affordable Care Act:
The affordable care act is also known as Obamacare, and was signed into a law in March when Ba
ack Obama was the President of the United states. This law was created to provide health coverage facilities to the millions of people who could not afford insurance in the country. It was a comprehensive health care reform which was done in 2010. The affordable care act includes the basic facilities like provision of health insurance coverage and also takes care of the cost for healthcare and manages the preventive care for the patients.
This act was a significant reform done in the healthcare system of the country in a long time. This law helped the lower income families to get the benefits of healthcare facilities and Medicaid. This act has two parts of legislation namely, the Patient protection and affordable care act and the Health Care Education Reconciliation Act of 2010. (Will kenton,2021)
