Introduction
Women are mostly suppressed by the mail dominant society and time and again as the notion is there that man is absolute self and women are the other subject. In the thesis the same topic will be discussed while refe
ing to the famous book written by Simone de Beauvoir in her book the second sex, which highlights the facts that how, women are being suppressed time and again. In this thesis essay, I would argue that de Beauvoir’s argument that women are subjective to humiliation and to defend this claim, I will show that this argument is not susceptible to the strongest objection against it.
Summary of Thesis
In her book, De Beauvoir (1962) has focused on how a woman has been held in a relationship of long standing oppression to a man through her relegation to being man’s other. Se further finds that the woman always being considered as the other part of a man and she do not have any self-identity. A man on the other hand has the upper edge and has always been independent. The two sexes have never shared the world in equal manner, as woman has always been dependent on man.
