There is always a close relationship between social media and easily obtainable 
information. Though easily obtainable information can be obtained without rendering much 
effort and though they can be collected in a time-saving manner, they come with some 
disadvantages. The primary disadvantage of easily obtainable information is that they are not 
always reliable and to find out their validity one has to confirm the information by going through 
other valid sources. And such re-investigation is time consumable. But then also people tend to 
opt for easily obtainable information and this is because of the advantage of convenience which 
this type of information possesses. For an example, in case of a social media, it is always easy 
for individuals to get the latest news, take part in entertaining programs, view videos, chat with 
friends etc and such convenience makes the choice of an individual easy and he/she tends to 
gather easily obtainable information. In spite of such advantages there are some crucial 
disadvantages of this type of information. And this disadvantage comes to the surface “when 
vital or sensitive information becomes available when it should not be” (Doctordialogue, 2012). 
There are several kinds of information which are sensitive either nationally or globally and these 
information should be kept secret for a particular period of time. But by the dint of social media 
these sorts of information are often made public causing undue chaos and confusion.  
As previously discussed information is easily obtainable from social media sites but it is 
debatable that whether or not social media is always composed of advantages. Social media is 
infused with both advantages and disadvantages. The primary advantage of a social media sites 
is that they pave the way for open communication which leads to the discovery of enhanced
