The aim of this assessment is to assess how you apply your knowledge of how to work within the legal and ethical parameters in professional nursing practice, including supporting rights and meeting duty of care requirements.

This is a written assessment that assesses your knowledge of the unit.
This assessment is in two parts:

Submission instructions
On completion of this assessment, you are required to submit it to your Teache
Assessor for marking. If you are completing this as an online quiz, ensure you click the submit button when complete. You can save as you progress to avoid losing your work.

In accordance with the TAFE NSW policy Manage Assessment Appeals, all students have the right to appeal an assessment decision in relation to how the assessment was conducted and the outcome of the assessment. Appeals must be lodged within 14 working days of the formal notification of the result of the assessment.

Part 1: Guidance for Nurses
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia AHPRA provides information on ethical decision making when working as an Enrolled Nurse. They provide guidance to nurses and others about processes that will help to ensure safety is not compromised when making decisions about nursing practice and whether to delegate activities to others.
Answer the following questions based on the scenario provided, using relevant resources including textbooks and reputable internet sources. At the end of your assessment you must include a bibliography using APA reference style listing the sources you have used to base your answers on.
