Most of the medical students prefer to go for specialist role and even sub-specialty physicians 
who study and caters to very niche area as compared to the primary care roles.  Primary care’s 
plight has been documented and discussed very well during health reform debate however there 
is not much result. It is because of many reasons and incentives faced by the students which are 
as follows: 
 Primary reason is wage disparity between the 2 options.
