A Glance at the Videos
Video 1: Value of Electronic Records
The importance of installing the electronic form of health records is showcased in this video.
CEO of INHS Tom Fritz claimed that with this service or record in place, it would be easier
to ensure patient safety. With the records open for access there is more scope for clinical
esearch and management of patient records. This is not only helpful to the top line but of
great importance in building the bottom line. Cherie Galusha, Nursing IMR at Sacred Heart
Spokane also held similar sentiments. She believed that it was easier to access records within
any institution of Sacred Heart. Nurses and doctors are able to see the notes anywhere at any
time. Jeffrey Clode, held a slightly different view. He believed that the transition from paper
to electronic records would take time not only for implementation but also for adjustment. He
stated that with everything being on computer, it was legible and patient care secure. The
video concluded with a point stating that many health institutes were wo
ied about the costs
involved in implementing though the rule of implementing a part of EHR by 2014 has been
passed.
Video 2: Technology and Future of Medicine
This video throws some light on the technological advances made by healthcare. The
Electronic healthcare records have become essential in the purview of powerful treatments
where the patient information becomes crucial. With EHR the clinical research ability speeds
up and new patient care is shared. According to David Bates (Bringham and Women’s
Hospital) one can look up for all the information related to new patient care drug and
technology using EHR. Also one can access the complications and issues if any during the
use of the drug. Another specialist claims that with this technology in place, he has been able
to access X-rays and records related to patient care at any time or place. With the human
