1. Describe the three ways river erode?
Rivers erode in the following ways:
· The first way of river erosion is abrasion or corrasion. This is the process when large pieces of bedload material wear away the river banks and the river bed.
· Attrition is the process of erosion of the river when the bed load of the river is itself eroded and the sediment particles knock against the river bed or each other and break. This converts the particles to become more rounded and smaller resoling in erosion.
· Hydraulic action is another process of river erosion when the process of water erodes the softer rock placed in the river beds.
