Dollar General – Organizational Demographics
Dollar General Corporation is a low cost variety product chain store situated in USA. It was founded by James Luther Turner and Cal Turner in the year 1939 in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. As of January 2020, Dollar General has approximately 16278 stores situated all over USA. More than 143000 employees work here. As of 2019, Dollar Corporation has earned revenue of $27.8 billion through selling of clothes, home decors, toys, grocery products, cleaning supplies, healthcare and beauty products and various other stationery items.  
Current demographics of Dollar Corporation are the lowest income group of customers. The average salary of these income groups ranges under $20000 and $20000 to $40000. The age group of these customers are mostly between 45 to 64 years of age. These people are mostly from African American society followed by people Caucasian society. The day of the week where most footfalls happens in the store is on Saturday at 21% compared to Friday 15% and Sunday 14%. Also, these people went alone or in couples and carried no kids with them.
There has been increase in the number of middle and higher income customers observed in Dollar General recently.
