Companies using data mining technologies must act responsibly by understanding the ethical issues surrounding their particular applications; it is necessary to know what they are doing. For example, data mining can sometimes be used to differentiate between people, especially for race, gender, and religion. Data mining is the process of creating a series of correct and meaningful queries for extracting information from large database data.
