Introduction
Consulting is highly effective in providing people with assistance in improving their productivity and health. In the following assignment, a scenario is chosen where an individual is facing various issues due to OCD. Two theories are chosen for describing the situation along with their key concepts, therapeutic process, techniques, and procedures. Moreover, the similarities and differences between the two therapies will be discussed for the scenario. Critical reflection on the theories has been done by analyzing their strengths and limitations.
The chosen scenario of the client case
The chosen scenario is a client case where an adolescent client is facing Obsessive-compulsive disorder which is a debilitating and chronic psychological condition. In this case study, the client is provided with humanistic counseling for helping his condition regarding OCD (Ralph & Cooper, 2022). In this case study, the name of the client is Sunil whose core conditions were not improved even after the counseling. However, he was motivated to share his traumatic memories along with building effective relationships with his peers. However, throughout the process, it can be seen that the client was silent. Thus, the chosen case study was aimed at investigating the problematic aspects of counseling sessions.

This therapy was developed by Laura Perls and Frederick Perls and Paul Goodman and is highly associated with the humanistic counseling movements. This is mainly a phenomenological approach in the field of counseling which is highly focused on the experience of the client at present.

The main process in this theory is to let the clients appreciate their experience along with the influences that the experiences have on their cu
ent behavior and thought (Šromová & Roubal, 2022). Thus, the clients can improve their self-awareness through this.
Techniques
The main techniques that are used in this therapy are that here the client mainly acts as a learner and the experts share their knowledge for healing the clients.
