POINTS TO CONSIDER • The choice of target population; the relevance of the health issue to the target population, the health & wellbeing needs of that population. • Clear aims and objectives: what the artefact will achieve for the improved health & wellbeing of the target population. • The suitability of the format (e.g. poster, leaflet, game, podcast, website, etc.) for the target population • The setting where the artefact would be available (hospital, community, school, etc.) • Relevant Health Promotion models and approaches e.g. Beattie or Tannahill’s model of health promotion; behaviour change models; empowerment, prevention or educational approaches etc. • Evaluation of the artefact in terms of meeting the overall aims and objectives. • Providing citations and references When justifying your artefact, you should be able to explain the choices made in designing and creating the artefact considering the points listed above.
