Infant mortality is a frequently used statistical measure that is denoted as the number of infant deaths per 1000 live births. The infant mortality rate (IMR) is one of the largely significant pointers of the socio-economic welfare and community health environment of a country. According to Miller and Goldman, infant mortality rate is also related to increased dosage of vaccines. According to CIA, in 2009, 33 nations had better infant mortality rates as compared to United States.
