This problem has to do with liquids composed of two distinct substances in different proportions.

Considering that we have 100ml of each of the following liquids:
- Liquid 'Type 1' with 70% of Sub-A and 30% of Sub-B.
- Liquid 'Type 2' with 20% of Sub-A and 80% of Sub-B.

How many milliliters of each of the previous liquids we have to mix to obtain a liquid of 100ml with the following configuration:
- Liquid 'Type 3' with 50% of Sub-A and 50% of Sub-B.

let X be required ml of liquid 1 to be mixed in liquid 3
And Y be required ml of liquid 2 to be mixed in liquid 3
That is X+Y=1 ...(1)
Since i need 50% of substance A and 50% of substance B;
.7X + .2Y = .5
7X + 2Y = 5 ..(2)
Multiply (1)*2 and subtract it from (2)
-> 7X-2X = 5-2
-> 5X = 3
