I have minutely viewed the surveillance camera footage and I thoroughly went through the interviews, which have been taken of the three employees, namely Michel, Sarah and Rachelle who were taken, after the theft took place. I have though the situation from various point of view and my recommendation is that since it has not been proved that Michel is actually responsible for the theft that took place, hence his employment should not be terminated, even though he is a suspect.
The protection of a parcel lies with the company and it is the responsibility of the employees in the company to do everything in their power to work ethically (Challa, Reddaiah & Rao, 2018). The success of the company depends on the success on its employees and hence there is a strict work ethic that the company urges its employees to follow. Michel did fail to put up to the company ethics. He spent more time in the hallways, yes and he took advantage of the floor supervisor’s trust, also yes.
It does make him the prime suspect as he had the perfect opportunity but that does not prove that he is responsible for the theft. Unless proved, we may be accusing someone wrongfully and if we do, I think we will fail as a company. As argued by Bhaskar (2018), nobody should be accused of such crime unless one has a proof against them. The rest of the employees did do a great job. Sarah and Rachelle are excellent employees and have a
ight future in their field of management and leadership; there is no doubt in that.
