Postpartum depression (PPD), also known as postnatal depression is associated with childbirth. Symptoms such as anxiety, crying episodes, sadness; i

According to Slomian et al., the exact cause of PPD is unclear and is a matter of on-going study; the doctors recognize factors such as genetic, social, emotional or physical, or a combination of these, as reason for PPD.
