ightly colored self-portraits that engage with individuality, the human body, and mortality, she was a Mexican painter. Despite her denials, she is commonly refe
ed to as a Su
ealist (Doeden, 2020). In addition to self-portraits and vivid colors, Frida Kahlo is renowned for her self-portraits and expression of so
ow and passion. Feminists and Mexicans alike admire her devotion to Mexican and indigenous culture, and her representation of female experience and form is admired by feminists. Polio-suffering youngster Kahlo nearly perished in a bus accident as an adult. A fractured pelvis, a
oken foot, and a dislocated shoulder were among the injuries she received. With her body immobilized and, in a cast, she began to devote herself to painting. Over the course of her life, she underwent 30 surgeries.
Works of Frida Kahlo
The three chosen works by Frida Kahlo include the Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird, Viva la Vida and The Frame. These three art pieces were created that depicted her life. It is a good example to show the children the use different colors and fruits like watermelon. These pictures attract the gaze of children since the contrast depicted in the image is very vi
ant i
espective of the story the paintings hold in them (Nicole et al.).
