An HR philosophy expresses the core business values that drive the organization’s (department’s) culture, specifically how HR principles are operationalized so that all people who engage with that organization (department) feel that they are valued, have a sense of belonging and feel cared for either as employees or as individuals receiving services.

For this assignment you are going to develop an HR Philosophy statement for your organization/department that best describes how an HR Department would partner with the organization’s/department’s leadership to operationalize and conduct itself, so that it enacts the values and culture aspired to in that statement.

Objectives

The objectives of this paper are best emphasized through the following questions, which can also help to frame your statement:

1. What basic role should Human Resources play in your organization/department?

2. Which HR principles guides HR’s practices that contribute to HR successfully partnering and influencing your organization/department?

3. How are the members of your organization/department customers of HR?

4. What resources does HR need to be successful operate? Be specific.

Structure of the project

I. Describe your Philosophy

In 3-4 pages, use your responses to those questions and the 5 P’s that frame an HR Philosophy statement (Philosophy, Policies, Programs, Practices and Processes), to identify your HR Philosophy statement and describe how that philosophy defines the way Human Resources can best be a partner and influencer within your organization/department. Your paper should:

- Apply your HR Philosophy to the realities of your organization/department;

- Explore how having your HR Philosophy would enable your organization/department succeed.

II. Present your Philosophy

Develop a presentation that uses your HR Philosophy to describe the role HR should play within your organization/department. Imagine you need to sell your key stakeholders to invest in HR and to value its partnership. Presentations can be in any format (power point, flipchart, etc.)

The presentation should:

· Describe why HR is necessary component.

· Use the HR Philosophy that you have developed to describe the role that HR should play in the organization/department.

· Assume the audience does not know anything about HR (or believe in its credibility)

· Be delivered in no more than 15 minutes but no less than 10.

1. Basic Role of Human Resource (HR) in the Organization
An organization’s integral part is its human resource. The aim of the human resources department of the organization is to assist the organization to achieve its goals and overcome challenges by providing an environment to the employees that is suitable for deriving maximum output. This requires considering some important objectives to enhance productivity of the employees, which includes fair treatment to its staffs, two ended or open communication, and respect to staffs, security of the employees, accountability and a sense of mutual reliability.
The most important responsibilities of a manager of the Human Resources department is to appoint staffs, give them orientation and training, set policies and manage policies according to their needs, providing staff with motivation by giving them benefits or compensation, and give them work protection (Berman, Bowman, West, & Van Wart, 2019). The following would be the basic roles of the Human resource department of the organization:
To Develop: Establish an attitude for all the employees so as to make a team that produces work output efficiently sharing the same objectives with each other.
To Treat with Equity: All the employees should be treated equally and justice for everyone is considered to be same.
To Respect: The individuality of the employees must be admired. Every individual must be regarded as an important aspect of the company and be respected. Different employees possess different set of skills. They should all be placed according to their skill and talent and each unique quality within them would be identified and nurtured during the course of time.
To Create: Allow people to impose their creativity within the team and the organization. This can only be happened by creating a suitable and favorable environment for them. The organization should support the employee’s vies of work life balance and give them
eak and consider their requirement for leisure, entertainment and creativity so that they feel less like an office and more like a healthy workplace. Creating and setting policies that suit the employees and provide a set of guidelines for their work, understand the organization’s goal and work for the same, a sense of security and justice.
