CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF ARTICLE
Bimray, P., Jooste, K., & Julie, H. (2019). Professionalism experiences of undergraduate learner nurses during their 4-year training programme at a Higher Education Institution in the Western Cape, South Africa. Curationis, 42(1), e1–e8. https:

INTRODUCTION :
The nursing professionalism plays a crucial part in the nursing undergraduate program. The professional values that are to be included in the training program is synonymously linked to the professionalism in the field of nursing. These nursing values are the guide for their attitudes, beliefs and priorities that they take while dealing with their colleagues patients as well as with other professionals (Caldwell & Miller, 2016). To maintain the high standards of their services, these values are very essential (Kaya, 2017). As the nurses are always dealt in the direct patient care, their ethical commitment has a direct impact on the patient safety and the outcome achieved (Caldwell & Miller, 2016).
A literature review on the various available sources can help to understand various challenges faced in the nursing profession mainly because of the lack of training given on the professional values to the young graduates. There were researches done to explain the value deficiencies that lead to decreased quality of patient care (Caldwell & Miller, 2016). At the same time, some of the other researches focused on the ethical conflicts that existed in the healthcare that necessitates the need to address professional values (Shafakhah, 2018).

This article deals about the professional socialization experienced by the undergraduate nursing students who are undergoing their 4 year training program. It focuses on the importance of incorporation of professional socialization in these programs to develop the professional values in the nursing graduates. The features of a profession such as its qualities, conduct, vision, mission and values, along with the expected behaviors of these professionals explains professionalism. New nurses should know the importance of these values and should be taught about them in their training schools itself. The nurse educators should take up this responsibility and mold them accordingly so that they develop an affection and caring behavior towards their patients.
In this article, the authors have tried to cover maximum areas effecting the nursing education with respect to the professional values, the efforts taken by the nursing educators and others obstacles in providing the training. The point of view of the authors were also clearly mentioned in it.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS :
A paper work cannot be done without any prior preparation (or) understanding about the topic which has been taken for the work. Before forwarding to the article directly, a well-planned framework was prepared so that the data collection and analysis could be done in a smooth way (Lima R S, 2020). This work included a better understanding of the nursing profession, how the professional values have a link to their behaviors and attitudes in delivering a safe and efficient patient care. In the theoretical framework, the main idea was to know the different options available to collect the data in the most relevant format. If the latest (or) updated research works (or) publications and notices are considered, the impact would be more. In the framework taken here, there were few articles which were older than 10 years such as the Brown and Fe
ill model of 2009.
The professional values are developed by the long- term practice, learning process etc., which results in inculcating the professional values to shape their behavior in the healthcare (or) other settings of professional practice. These findings would later be a framework for designing the study (or) training patterns for the undergraduate nursing students.

The article focused to report the experiences regarding professionalism by the undergraduate nursing students along their 4 year training period at a Higher Education Institute (HEI) in the western Cape. The conducted study was an exploratory one with descriptive as well as contextual qualitative data. It included eight focus group discussions (FGDs) that were captured from the nursing students in the Western Cape. Most of the studies down on this concept were descriptive corelative studies (Iacobucci T, 2012), content analysis approach (Jamshidi N, 2016) and interpretive phenomenological approach (Jamshidi N).
This study was conducted in an institution which offered 4 year undergraduate training programme for nurses in the Western Cape. It was taken care that the training is not just theoretical, but also practical (Bimray P, 2019). The theoretical knowledge alone will not help the nurses to excel in their career. The more they are exposed to the real time experiences, the more they become aware of the scenarios they have to deal with, once they complete...
