Context Assessment 3 in Managing Quality, Risk and Cost is a simulation. To prepare for this assessment you will have already undertaken a series of preparatory activities. The first activities you needed to have undertaken for this assessment were the readings listed for the first two workshops. These readings provided you with the information you require to understand the purpose and the importance of negotiations within health care, as well as some of the basic principles of negotiation. If you did not complete those tasks prior to the workshops, you must complete those readings before attempting this task. The preparation for the simulation will be further supported by this small assessment task with feedback and further skills-building exercises in class. Assessment 3 Assessment 3 is divided into two main stages, each of which are assessed. Assessment 3A (this assessment): This preparation for the negotiation activity reviews the basic skills and concepts used to plan and conduct two-party negotiations.
