Introduction
Accountability is an integral component of professional nursing practice. Nurses’ accountability requires that nurses demonstrate competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, nursing board standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation and context of care.

1. Reflect on the learning outcomes above, and the content we have covered from weeks 6-10 to discuss how nurses are accountable for their practice
2. Use three practical examples to guide your discussion to demonstrate your understanding of nurses’ accountabilities.
1. You can use one
oad area of accountability and provide three examples of how nurses demonstrate this. For example:
Patient Advocasy
i. Example one – ensuring informed consent is obtained
ii. Example two – communicating patient’s wishes to a doctor
iii. Example three – protecting the health and well-being of patients

2. You can discuss three different areas of accountability as your examples:
i. Example one – advocacy
ii. Example two – decision making
iii. Example three – mandatory reporting

Introduction
    Nursing or patient advocacy is one the advance care procedure which focuses by nursing organization in global level around the world. Nurses professional work not only provided patient care but also support in patient care. The study shows that there is two perspective of patient advocacy, which included being sympathetic and understands the feeling attached to patient and second, protect the patient in several aspects like, provide patient care, take care of health of patient and take it as a priority, completion of necessary care and protecting patient rights. Along with patient advocacy, professional nurses need to adopt critical quality in them like leadership quality, this phenomenon of leadership is associated with formal and executive leadership role of nurses in healthcare sector. As a professional nurse leadership required to take as initiative process for provide empower and motivation to achieve specific set goal. One of the important outcome of this study is understand the importance of leadership quality in nurses for betterment of health care sector.

In some organizations employer provide minimal or no support from administrative level and doctors to nurses during their role in patient advocacy (Choi, Cheung & Pang, 2014).
    As aprofessional nurse, nurses should know how to treat patient and their family member with compassion and integrity, also provide effective patient care to diverse population and maintain the quality (Rainer, 2015). It is necessary to teach nurses some specific perspective like:

· It is really necessary to provide essential information about symptoms and self-care habits to patients.
· Nurses should have friendly and open behavior so patient and their family member are feel comfortable to ask questions from them.
· If some patient has unique cultural or religious need, take care about that.
· Should incorporates legal and ethical knowledge about nursing care.
· Should involves scientific knowledge and evidences in patient and family nursing care.
· A professional nurse should have knowledge about government and institutional policies and law in respect to public health.
    Nursing profession is that involves continuous effort to earn honor for honesty and ethics. Nurses have power to make people lives well and to live in a worthy place to live.
