Introduction
This is a case study of a girl named Chelsea who suffered from the anger management issues. Apart from this, Chelsea suffered from the sexual abuse during her childhood by his stepfather’s son. She belongs to the small town where she suffered from the bullying from the peer due to her appearance. This built an immense fear in her, which prevented Chelsea to come out as gay until 18 when she reached college. Apart from this, Chelsea is a graphic designer by profession but failed to get the job and take the job in administration.
She felt stuck in her job and constantly snap out when started live with her partner. She felt anxiety and distress with the idea of su
ounding Jayden. The counselling treatment, which can help the Chelsea, is cognitive behavior therapy and anger management technique. Chelsea suffered from many issues, which is affecting her confidence and health. Following assignment provides the six-session treatment plan for Chelsea to improve her condition.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy
Cognitive behavior therapy is the effective method used by the counsellor to treat mental and health issue. As mentioned by Trauer, Qian, Doyle, Rajaratnam and Cunnington (2015), cognitive behavioural therapy aims to help the individual to analyse, challenge unwanted thoughts and include self-help strategies. On the contrary, this strategy focusses on the immediate and positive change in the life of the individual, which results in improving the quality of life.
This therapy helps in supporting the people in challenging the difficult thoughts, which acts as a ba
ier in achieving their goal or have reasons for developing distance from the people. As noted by Koffel, Koffel and Gehrman (2015), this therapy develops skills in people so that they can improve their mood and prepare them to reduce their negative thought. It must be noted that cognitive behavior therapy is modified to focus on the transition, loss and cognitive decline.
This led to the therapy being efficient and popular. It has been seen that cognitive behavioural therapy is a short and structure therapy, which can be focused on the key roles, which affect the functioning of the individual. Over the period, this therapy earns the reputation to replace the antidepressant and treat the moderate to severe depression. Most of the people use this therapy in combination with medication as part of the treatment (Zettle & Hayes, 2016).
It must be noted that cognitive behavior therapy focuses on the major events in life of the patient, which have direct impact on the life of the person. As per the case study, Chelsea felt stuck in the job and have constant anger. It must be noted that Chelsea lost her self-confidence and have difficulty with the men su
ounding her. Apart from this, she suffered from the childhood abuse, which still traumatizes her. Thus, this therapy is necessary to improve the condition of Chelsea.
Anger Management Technique
Anger management technique is the technique, which helps the people to identify their stressors and paves the ways for the strategies help in reducing the anger. As mentioned by Asadzandi, Sekarifard, Ebadi, Morovvati Sharif Abad and Salari (2015), this technique played the crucial role in reducing the stressful situation in a constructive method. The prime focus of the anger management is containment of the anger by reducing the physical and emotional arousal. This technique trained the person to control their reaction so that they can react appropriately in the society.
