The Prevalence of Obesity in Low-Income Community:
Abstract:
Obesity is considered as an epidemic and is the most critical public health issue faced across the world. Even WHO is also working comprehensively to help peoples live at the grassroots level. In present context close to two billion people are obese. The new observation and literatures also suggest that obesity is prevalent in low income countries due to contradictory popular beliefs and diet pplan.as a result of that the risk of cardio vascular and hyper tension diseases is also on the high. 
Introduction:
South Asia being one of the most hit regions of the world due to this health issue. Young children and adolescents are the victims of obesity due to irregular food habits and sugar rich diets and exposure to high carbohydrates rich diets and also less prudent diets. The International Day for Evaluation of Abdominal Obesity Study reported that South Asians have the highest prevalence of abdominal obesity, with considerable increase in the women folks.
The five articles considered here in this study are clubbed and analyzed together for ease of understanding and explaining as per the requirement of this essay.
Characteristics of the Participants:
The articles that are reviewed here pertaining to this topic of study is based on exploratory and qualitative research. One such study was conducted on school children aged between 9 to 12 years as a part of low income group. Another study was conducted on middle aged women in countries like Nepal and Bangladesh.
