Privacy and Security Issues 
 Healthcare organization is a sensitive place where several activities are taken place while 
healthcare delivery to the patients. The management of the organization makes system to 
document or record the personal information of the patients on mandatory basis to take benefits 
and provide better treatment care. However, recording patient information associated with the 
health issues and personal information are the concerns of security and privacy because the 
private health information should not be disclosed to the unknown person (Kim, 2014). Apart 
from this, there is privacy and security risk linked to the private health information of the 
patients. The healthcare organization for the health care delivery is using existing electronic 
health record systems known as PRS (Patient Record System); but, it is not effective to prevent 
privacy and security occurring of the private health records.   
Privacy and Security Risks with Existing and Proposed EHR System 
 The privacy and security risk associated with existing electronic health record systems 
can be seen as easy accessibility by anyone to copy or grab information of the private health 
information. This can be possible due to manual working system to gather information and after 
that it is recorded as the EHR system by the nurses at their stations (Kim, 2014). Further, the 
privacy and security risks can also be assumed as internal hosting by anyone of the 
administration team members.
