Nurses plays an important role in fulfilling the duties in taking care of the patients, communicating with doctors, administering medicine, and checking all the vital signs. Making up the biggest or rather the largest healthcare job in the United States, nurses play a crucial role in medical facilities and enjoy a large number of jobs. The major role played by nurses in the medical and healthcare department are: firstly, they help to record the medical history as well as the record of symptoms of the patient. Secondly, they collaborate with the team to plan for patient care and go for the best treatment to cure them.
Thirdly, monitor the patient’s health and check the case history and records. Fourthly, they administer the total medication process as well as the check the treatment procedures. Fifthly, they operate the medical equipment and provide the best for the patient. Sixthly, they perform the diagnostic tests and consult the doctor for further treatment. Therefore, as nurses are required to play such a major role in healthcare department, hence they had lot of options in the job market specially in United States, as they are the one who advocates in protecting patient’s medical, legal, and human rights. In this regard the nursing education plays an important role. White, (2017). The nursing education not only helps the nurses to serve for their patients but also it helps them to develop as well as enhance several other skills and establish themselves as a true human being.

According to the revised version of IOM “The Future of Nursing”, the cu
ent transformation of the healthcare system as well as the practice environments requires a co
esponding transformation in nursing education. In term of the revised version of the IOM recommendation, four new recommendations have been put forwarded for the education as well as the preparation of the nurses throughout their careers.
