Card Sorting
Develop and analyze a SciFi-Interface:
Demonstrate your understanding of HCI (human computer interaction) by either discussing or evaluating a topic within the field.
Develop an environment where you are not limited by mass produced I/O found in traditional devices. Imagine an interface, explain what it will do, and how people will use it, then use a post-cognitive framework to describe the interaction process.
· you will have to analyze the relationship between the user and the artifact in use.
· Define the impact of society, the user, and the device and how they may or may not affect the user's everyday life.
· Define the forms of modality and how they can be used to augment the overall interaction between the user and device.
· Define or use a framework that models the cognitive process between the user and the task in question.
· You are not limited to a single framework however you need to use them appropriately
· Define the interaction between the user:
· Is it Human-robot Interaction? Human-machine Interaction? Human-computer Interaction? M2M (machine to machine interaction)?
· What are the limitations imposed on the artifact?
· What are some of the limitations imposed on the actor interfacing with the artifact?
· How can the artifact augment the interfacer's shortcoming?
DO NOT FORGET TO USE COMMON SENSE.
