Features and Habitat:
These type of spiders are from the family Atracidae. They are actually a family of mygalomorph spiders. These spiders are native to Australia and their bite is deadly in nature and also resulted in many casualties earlier but the presence of antivenom these days have reduced the fatalities of late. These spiders have many venomous glands which are found in their chelicerae. The fangs of these spiders are large and strong enough to penetrate finger nails and the shoes of the people. There are close to 35 varieties of this category and mostly six of them are deadly out of which these two are the most critical ones in terms of their venomous bites namely northern and southern tree web spider.
