Agile software development lifecycle process or methodologies are ideally used in the development of projects where the development team experiences a need of iterative programming i.e. a new set of requirements or customers feedbacks are incorporated in the design of the successive iteration during development. This approach is quite popular following its capability to address the evolving requirements of the users or the project in order to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction. (Rauchenberger, Little, and Montana, 2013)
This essay intends to study three of the most frequently used Agile development methodologies which can serve as the SDLC model for the VCI online theme park project. Description of the Agile Methodologies
Scrum Agile development approach
Scrum is an agile software development framework. The framework is widely used in the software development market owning its capability as a simple yet highly effective development process. (Morien, 2018) Each iteration in Scrum development approach is managed using a product backlog which describes the key features, functional and non-functional requirements it adheres and key objectives for the iteration.
Each iteration is managed by the Product Owner who is responsible for managing all the requirements and then prioritizing them as per the sprint or iteration requirements. On the other hand, the scrum master who also acts as the team leader for the development team is responsible for structuring and managing all the processes that will be executed throughout the scope of the project.
