Introduction
Misconceptions and literally wrong perceptions of people with a disability are commonly used. These include that they are a threat, a burden, and a risk. It is not unusual to hear people express the opinion that in organizations of people of their own kind, persons with a disability will be better off. There also seems to be a general misconception that people with a disability are unable to make a meaningful contribution to the society, and that they are not of equal worth as human beings and community members in any way. Many people have low expectations of people with a disability, assuming that there is nothing valuable they do not understand or cannot do. Sometimes, since it is believed that their ability is minimal, they are denied opportunities to experience life, to explore their potential and achieve success. People with a disability are also said to be accepted in the culture, but tolerance is not acceptance and true inclusion.
Brief Overview of the Welfare Law
At first, it is significant to note here that changes have occu
ed in the thinking and frameworks of understanding the rights of the disabled people; it has been transformed from charity to rights in particular. The core essence of this new thinking drives that the disabled people are not objects but rather they are subjects who must have their rights related to the normal people like the right to equality and right against any kind of discrimination. Most importantly, it is the distribution of the rights by making some laws that can address the concerns of the disabled people by legal assistance; to enable them with the power of recognition which is equal at social and economical level. It is the right that must be fulfilled with the effects of law and other factors which are given to disabled people. The social and economical disparities prevailing in society should take into account the factors determining the gap which does not let the disabled people have their proper place in society.
Moreover, the objective of the United Nations is to ensure that the welfare law is designed in such a way that it gives authority and respect to the disabled people in all fields of life. also, when it comes to define the discrimination of the disabled, there is no range of age, sex or gender that can be seen separately; disability appears to be universally existent in all three and it requires formal attention of the governing bodies to have that law which can understand the needs and expectations of the disabled people in a
oader sense. Therefore, non-discrimination, and the equal effective enjoyment of all human rights by people with disabilities, is the dominant theme of the long-overdue change in the worldwide view of disability and the disabled.
There is a long and unequal method of ensuring that persons with disabilities enjoy their human rights. It does happen, however, in all economic and social structures. It is motivated by the principles that underpin human rights: the inestimable dignity of every human being the principle of autonomy or self-determination that demands that the individual be put at the core of all the decisions that affect him/her, the intrinsic equality of all, regardless of the disparity, and the ethics of solidarity that society requires to preserve the individual's freedom with...
