The poet Langston Hughes in his poem “Harlem” poses a question for the readers as what happens to the dream deferred before starting of the play “A Raisin in the Sun”. The play is centered around and African- American family and begins with the protector the family was supposed to receive a sum of $10,000 from insurance company after the passing away of the late Mr. Youngers. With a probable arrival of money, all family members have certain plans as to what they want to do the sum and live with the dream of a brighter future that they would have after receiving the money. 
The dreams are wearing range as someone wants to buy a bigger and brighter house while someone things it would be wise to spend the some on a liquor shop that would flourish in the future.
