Brief discussion of current state of the technology. Identification of the various components and their current state. Identification of the components that are the subject of the roadmap.

Component analysis

Each component should have its own sub-section. The discussion should summarize current state (from above), identify alternative technologies for providing the component, state of the alternatives, and prognosis on the availability of each alternative. At the end of the analysis for each component, an alternative technology should be clearly identified as the one most likely to become available and used and an estimated date of its availability should be identified.

Conclusions and recommendations

This section provides a brief summary of the main findings of the analysis – components, most likely technology, estimated date of technology availability. Based on this discussion, a statement about the availability of the technology should be made.
