Introduction
This is research plan report with the chosen topic: ‘Poverty’, which is a sociological theme connecting several theories as well as perspectives. Sociology is a social science that focuses on society, human social behaviour, social interactions, pattern of social relationship and various aspects of culture that are associated with everyday life. Poverty is a sociological phenomenon, which is included in this societal aspect and underlines the fact that the lower section of the people is not allowed to dream higher or touch their success. Poverty is the state of not having enough material to lead a life in the way it requires and fulfil the basic needs.

Why Chosen This Topic?
Society is a concept that consists of people as well as institutions around us where individual share their beliefs, customs, tradition, values and many more cultural ideas, which is represented through various ideologies and principles in our community. Poverty is also a societal concept, which discriminate the poor people with the upper people and hence, it creates a line between them. During this stage, the particular deprived person cannot able to meet the minimum level of living standard due to their poor income level and hence they suffer from the pathetic condition known as poverty (Atkinson, 2019).
In this regard, Karl Marx has presented his concern about the main conflict between the upper class or the owner of the capital who are popularly known as bourgeoisie and the working class, which are popularly known as the proletariat. Here, the upper class people dominate the lower class and hence, keep them deprived of the basic and necessary things until and unless they get the complete task provided to the working class (Wietzke, 2020).
