There are three tasks in this assignment: Online discussion forums, E-Portfolio and an Oral Presentation.
Task 1: Online discussion forum activity posts (20 marks) 10%
You need to take a screen shot of each of the following posts to your group forum and copy them onto your assignment document. The posts include:
1. Your post to your week 9 group forums (10 marks)
2. Your response post to a peer’s week 10 group forum post (10 marks)

Task 2: E-portfolio (10 marks) 5%
1. Create your NUR1102 e-portfolio page

Instructions:
For this assessment, you need to prepare and record yourself delivering an 8-minute individual recorded oral presentation (+- 10%). Your presentation can be in the form of a PowerPoint recording or you tube.
· In your PowerPoint presentation, include 3 graphics (maximum) and 10 slides (maximum). Do not include any audio-visual features, you tube links, etc. in your presentation.

2. Identify your audience
· Name the audience and the purpose of your talk before you begin the presentation. This is to help the marker determine whether the content and style of delivery is appropriate.
· For example - your audience could be:
Fellow nursing students or prospective nursing students during next year’s Nursing Orientation Week, or a group of lecturers wanting to understand how first year students develop their skills or participants to a conference on nursing students’ learning, or the residents of an aged care facility who want to know more about nurses’ communication strategies, etc.…..it is up to you.

3. Begin with an introduction:
· In your introduction, you need to provide your thesis statement (your position statement outlining your argument). The thesis statement should include your justification of why the Nursing Progress Note is important and your use of the grief and loss communication framework is needed in Mr Burnum Perkin’s transition care.
· Check the feedback to your draft thesis sentence when your online tutor responds to it (part of the Week 10 online and on campus tutorial).
· Provide an overview of the main points you will use to support your thesis statement (2-3 main points).
