There are three tasks in this assignment: Online discussion forums, E-Portfolio and an Oral Presentation.
Task 1: Online discussion forum activity posts (20 marks) 10%
You need to take a screen shot of each of the following posts to your group forum and copy them onto your assignment document. The posts include:
1. Your post to your week 9 group forums (10 marks)
2. Your response post to a peer’s week 10 group forum post (10 marks)
Take a screen shot of the posts and copy them on to your assignment document. Make sure your name and the date of posting is included in the screen shot.
Task 2: E-portfolio (10 marks) 5%
1. Create your NUR1102 e-portfolio page
2. Upload at least one example of the mandatory documents you need to complete for your placements to your e-portfolio_page https:

3. Write XXXXXXXXXXwords, in one paragraph, about how you are developing your health and digital literacies and your critical thinking. Support your information with relevant literature and associated (minimum of three) in text references. Include the paragraph as a text box within your e-portfolio.
4. Create your secret URL (see PowerPoint on “How to set up your e-portfolio”) for your NUR1102 e-portfolio page, and copy and paste your secret URL onto your assignment document submission.
Task 3: Oral presentation 70 marks (35%)
Instructions:
For this assessment, you need to prepare and record yourself delivering an 8-minute individual recorded oral presentation (+- 10%). Your presentation can be in the form of a PowerPoint recording or you tube.
· In your PowerPoint presentation, include 3 graphics (maximum) and 10 slides (maximum). Do not include any audio-visual features, you tube links, etc. in your presentation.
· You will be assessed on your presentation content and on your oral presentation skills (see Assignment 2 marking ru
ic).
· You need to engage your audience and appeal to their learning styles. While informing your audience you might also like to entertain them and/or be creative in your presentation to make your information more interesting.
Your specific tasks in Assignment 2 are to:

· Explain and justify how you would use the grief and loss communication framework to frame the future transition care of My Perkin’s into the Aged Care Facility you, as a nurse, would include in the nursing progress notes (about 3 - 4 minutes of your oral presentation)

2. Identify your audience
· Name the audience and the purpose of your talk before you begin the presentation. This is to help the marker determine whether the content and style of delivery is appropriate.
· For example - your audience could be:
Fellow nursing students or prospective nursing students during next year’s Nursing Orientation Week, or a group of lecturers wanting to understand how first year students develop their skills or participants to a conference on nursing students’ learning, or the residents of an aged care facility who want to know more about nurses’ communication strategies, etc.…..it is up to you.
· The audience will guide your choice of examples, along with your case study and associated nursing progress note.
3. Begin with an introduction:
· In your introduction, you need to provide your thesis statement (your position statement outlining your argument). The thesis statement should include your justification of why the Nursing Progress Note is important and your use of the grief and loss communication framework is needed in Mr Burnum Perkin’s transition care.
· Check the feedback to your draft thesis sentence when your online tutor responds to it (part of the Week 10 online and on campus tutorial).
· Provide an overview of the main points you will use to support your thesis statement (2-3 main points).
4. In the body of your presentation:
· Use a main point to answer each of the components of the presentation:
i. Your analysis of the ve

al communication used by the nurse in the nursing progress note.
ii. The transition care required in the nursing progress note in the future plan for Mr Burnum Perkins
· Provide in text references to support your main points as well as specific examples.
5. In the conclusion of your presentation
· Restate the thesis and main points
· Finish with a powerful concluding action statement
6. Include a Reference list.
