(a) Disk of least confusion 
A disk of least confusion is an optical spot formed when the cone of light rays not coming to a perfect focus.
(b) Astigmatism 
Astigmatism is a defect of eye which causes strain and fatigue in eye. An Astigmatic eye have a blurred vision. In this 
defect  eye of the patient or the person is not completely spherical or round as it should be. Range of Astigmatism differ

Due to different field curvature of the lens for different light rays they focusses at different locations as shown
