Instructions:
Students must discuss with their learning facilitator a potential project idea in module 1, week 1. By
the end of module 1, students will be required to submit to their learning facilitator a one page
outline of the project (non-graded) and a GANTT chart describing their project timeline.
The outline/summary will clearly identify the issue under investigation and justify its significance,
and
oadly explain how the project will be approached and its feasibility. The learning facilitator
must approve the project and evaluate it in terms of its feasibility, scope, workload implications,
ethics and rigour. You must not proceed on the project without the approval of the learning
facilitator. Failure to obtain approval of the project idea at an early stage may lead to delays in the
development of the project.
Students may select a topic related to their cu
ent public health practice/program/organization, or
may analyse publically available datasets (e.g. Google Explore) or publicly available online text
content as part of their research project.

Objective of the study: To map the intervention components and study its impact on the health outcomes in the South Asian countries.
Summary	
Mental Health constitutes the emotional, psychological and the social well-being of the individuals (Galderisi et.al., 2015). The changes in the mental health of the individual is associated with the various disorders like Depression, trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and personality disorders (Taylor et.al., 2017). This not only increases the morbidity ratios but it is also associated with the increased health care burden across the world. The highest relevance of the mental disorders across the globe can be observed in the South Asian Countries. From the studies of the Naveed et.al. (2020) it was understood that the prevalence of the mental disorders in the South Asian countries is 14.2 % which is higher than the world-wide prevalence (13.4 %) indicating a direct impact on the mental health (Naveed et.al., 2020). Increase in the depression is associated with 6.4 % of increased suicidal behaviour in South Asia. The risk factors identified with mental disorders are smoking, alcohol, differences in the culture, political stressors, poverty, etc. (Chou et.al., 2014).
