Seeback Effect-
Seeback effect is defined as; it is a process of generation of electric cu
ent by the
source of temperature difference. According to Seeback Effect when two conductors
or semiconductors with dissimilar material are attached to a conducting wire, there is
also a temperature difference between the two conductors, so this system generates a
voltage across the temperature difference. Seeback effect is also known as the
thermoelectric effect. In the thermoelectric effect the thermal is related to the
temperature and the effect is related to the generation of the electric cu
ent or voltage.

In the above diagram, there is a hot junction who has the higher temperature and the
cold junction which has lower temperature two metal wires are connected between the
junctions, because they are conducting wires. A voltmeter is also attached between the
junctions for the measuring of the voltage produced.
