The Ottawa Charter is based on five main principles, including establishing a healthy public policy, creating a supportive environment, strengthening community action, developing personal skills, or adjusting the direction of health services. By definition, health promotion is "a process that enables people to better control and improves their health. Unless their physical and emotional needs are met, and individuals can change their environment or learn how to adapt in their own environment, they cannot achieve a complete state of physical, psychological, and social well-being. Although the Charter is nearly thirty years old, these five principles are still very relevant to health promotion today. Introduction In order for individuals to take care of themselves to the greatest extent possible in terms of health, it is necessary to be equipped with appropriate equipment. This promotion is the main concern of the international community. Various factors affect health together. Therefore, if you want to achieve and maintain optimal health, you should consider all necessary factors. The Ottawa Charter on Promoting Health is an initiative proposed by the international community to develop effective methods to promote health. It is guided by the knowledge that this kind of promotion is essential to achieve the goal of making everyone enjoy optimal health from 2000 onwards. The charter also established a number of other international health agreements, such as the Almaty Declaration and the highest international right to physical and mental health for everyone.
Major strategies for health promotion identified in the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion
