Tasks
Background to Section One
You are a reviewer with a high-quality and prestigious Indigenous journal. A research team has approached you to advise them on what you would
suggest as the key elements to consider when conducting their study so that their approach and reporting meets the expected standards (from planning
through to dissemination of findings) when conducting research among Indigenous peoples. Their research project focuses on trying to identify ba

Closing the Gap among one of the targets that are not on track, according to the latest data (2022).
Section One Tasks
According to June 2022 data, four of the 17 Close the Gap socioeconomic-related targets are on track — the rest are not. Identify the latest Closing the
Gap data outcomes and select one of the targets that are not on-track to discuss with the researchers.
1) Provide a short overview of the data relating to that target and 2) discuss what could be the reasons why this particular target has not improved,
