	Fall prevention is one of the major components of care provided in the psychiatry facilities. In this project, the patient/population will be the older adults who suffer from dementia and any other physical deformity associated with it. Dementia is the mental condition in which, gradual rise of age serves as the foundation of loss of memory and it leads to some dangerous outcomes. Older patients with dementia are seen as the primary targets of fall based injuries as they cannot control their movements or they tend to overlook the precautions given to them. It is due to the fact that they are not able to carry out memory records of the given instructions. The project will observe the activities of the older adults living in psychiatry facilities for more than one year and they should have received some kind of physical injury. 
Intervention 
	Fall prevention based interventions have many aspects to cover and all possible sides of these interventions will be used in this project. The first major intervention is to coordinate with the elderly population in the best manner possible—it is the patient centred approach which will be applied in the course of this project. The elderly will be guided to self management practices as the evidences taken from the previous studies suggest that the self management is the first key factor to take preventive measures against fall. Second aspect of intervention will be to assess the efficacy of the external sources, the equipments provided to the elderly to manage their waking and physical movement.
