    Those born into positions of power and privilege sometimes find it difficult to acknowledge their own privilege, particularly the luxury of being a white man in a society that has traditionally catered to our needs. It is painfully clear to those who did not have the benefit of experiencing it (Pearson &Verass,2014). In addition, many white people do not believe they are powerful or that they have advantages that others do not, making it very challenging to have a conversation on the subject.
