Purpose
    In the literature of entrepreneurs and their risk, its perception is often viewed as the crucial drivers of the success of entrepreneurship in Ghana. In order to be defining entrepreneurship, there are scholars who have often refe
ed to the exposure and bearing of risks and separation of manager and employees from the entrepreneurs (Agyapong, 2020). The study has been penned keeping in mind the impact of risk and its many variables on the business outcomes. It is of special interest as to how is the risk being perceived versus how the firm is performing. This article is a piece of theoretical literature that includes both the risk perception and propensity for analysing a firm and its performance.
Gap analysis
    The article however is considering many SMEs but not taking into account the sectors of processing of food. This has led to a research gap however the article also does mention that food processing industries have the tremendous potential within Ghana itself (Naude & Chiweshe, 2017). The gap is also in regards to the financial institutes and what they are prone to be concealed for the sake of attraction of lenders and sources of finance.
